Who we are:

Avolites products have been back stage at some of the biggest gigs, performances and events of the last 50 years, and our combined lighting and media solutions revolutionised on-stage visual control.

Our team are behind some of the most innovative visual control systems on the market and we’re looking for new software engineers to bring their passion, creativity and talent as we explore the next wave of innovation.

 

Could you be part of the next act in the Avolites’ story?

 

As a dedicated team, we’re looking for engineers that can work across all aspects of developing the software, from design through implementation to delivery and support.

In this role you will:

  • Be trained how to use our Prism and/or Titan lighting & media control platforms. (No prior experience necessary)
  • Work in an Agile development team.
  • Design, build and maintain features in our Titan and/or Prism lighting & media control solutions.
  • Produce clean, high-quality real-time C# and/or C++ code which is commented in a clear manor.
  • Produce documentation and test for your code and liaise with the test team.
  • Design and implement UI elements.
  • Investigate bugs and implement and test bugfixes.
  • Handle occasional customer support cases with a high level of professionalism.
  • Be physically in the HQ office at least 3 days of the week.

You have:

  • Extensive experience in software engineering roles.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Experience with C#, C++ or related language.
  • (If working on Prism media) Proficiency in DirectX 12 or similar low-level graphics APIs (e.g., Vulkan or OpenGL)

You also might have experience with:

  • Developing soft real-time applications
  • Networked or distributed software
  • .NET, WPF and WCF
  • Git, Azure DevOps, Visual Studio
  • Working in an Agile development team (Scrum).
  • Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline.
    Optimizing video pipelines for performance and quality
  • Working in the lighting or video production industry.
  • Experience developing cross-platform desktop applications (e.g., Electron or React).
