Media Server BIOS Settings

If you require assistance or need further help, please send an email to support@avolites.com. When sending technical queries please include Serial Number & Software Versions where appropriate as this may speed up diagnoses of problems.

BIOS settings as below (based on default loaded)Under the “Save & Exit” menu, select “Restore Defaults” and press enter

Under the “Main” menu Select System Information and check:

BIOS Revision: R1.3.0 or Above

Build Date and Time: 10/12/2018 10:56:25

Set the correct “System Date and System Time”

Under “Advanced” menu Enter “CPU Configuration” then select “C States” and set it as “Disabled” (default)

NOTE: Usually the C States is set as Disabled by default but it needs to be checked

Under the “Security” menu Set “Supervisor Password” to 68340

Under “Power” menu set as follows:

Power Failure Recovery Disabled

Never Off Disabled (default)

USB/PS2 Power Always Off (default)

Under “Boot” menu Set “Bootup NumLock State” to “Off”

Go to the “Save & Exit” menu Select “Save Changes and Reset”, press Enter

  • Q Series
    1. Boot up the system and enter BIOS by pressing F2 button during boot up.
    2. Under the “Save & Exit” menu, select “Restore Defaults” and press enter.
    3. Go to the “Save & Exit” menu Select “Save Changes and Reset”, press Enter
  • R Series
    1. Boot up the system and enter BIOS by pressing Del button during boot up.
    2. Set the correct date and time.
    3. Check the BIOS version and make sure the latest version is installed.
    4. Press F5 to load optimized defaults.
    5. Press F7 to enter Advanced mode.
    6. Under Boot tab go to CSM menu and set the following:
    1. Launch CSM-> Enabled
    2. Boot Device Control-> UEFI only
    3. Boot from network devices-> Ignore
    4. Boot from storage devices-> UEFI Driver First
    5. Boot from PCI/PCIE-> UEFI Driver First
    1. In Boot tab go to Secure Boot and under OS Type select Windows UEFI Mode selected.
    2. Save changes by pressing F10 and reset the computer. After reboot shut down the computer.
  • S Series
    1. Boot up the system and enter BIOS by pressing Del button during boot up.
    2. Press F5 (load default settings)
    3. Press F10
    4. Select Advanced Mode
    5. In Monitor tab change CPU Fan speed low limit to Disabled
    6. Tab change Chassis 1 Q-FanControl to Disabled
    7. Tab change Chassis 2 Q-FanControl to Disabled
    8. Tab change Chassis 3 Q-FanControl to Disabled
    9. Tab change Chassis 4 Q-FanControl to Disabled
    10. In BOOT tab set Bootup NumLock State Off
    11. In BOOT tab enter to CSM (Compatibility Support Module)
    12. Change Boot from Network Devices to UEFI driver first
    13. Change Boot from Storage Devices to UEFI driver first
    14. Change Boot from PCIe Expansion Devices to UEFI driver first
    15. Press F10 then yes to save the settings
