Avolites Ltd announces the launch of its new Academy ‘Online Learning Platform’, which takes a ‘bite-sized’ learning approach and replaces the previous version launched in 2021! This hugely exciting development for Avolites demonstrates the brand’s commitment to training across all its software programs worldwide. This new platform will mean anyone with an internet connection can access and learn to use Avolites software.
At launch, the platform will have the Titan Intermediate (Level 1) training course available and contains over 70 short – 3-to-5-minute – videos. All the individual videos are grouped together into ‘lessons’ for ease of navigation. All the videos will have the option of an English voiceover appearing as subtitles in several languages, and more will be added in the future. To further promote users’ knowledge retention, taking the online courses and simultaneously practising live on the software is recommended. After completing each video and lesson, there is a ‘mark complete’ button to click on when everything has been watched and the person is happy to move on. When all the video lessons are finished, users receive a completed ‘Avolites Academy Titan Level 1 Course’ certificate via email.
All online training courses at launch and in the future are designed as a precursor for Avolites’ well-known in-person training at offices and distributors’ offices around the world. The platform is intended as a pre-learning exercise for those new to Avolites’ software or those who have already taken the course and want to recap on some of the material.
Whilst users will learn all the basic principles by taking this online course, the in-person training goes into considerably more detail. Future courses in development include a Titan Advanced (Level 2) course, aiming for release on the platform at the end of 2024, and a Foundation Lighting course, for users with no prior experience in lighting design or operation. Specialist courses targeted at proficient users wanting to use more advanced software features are also planned, and the new Avolites video software platform, Prism, will also have online courses available as more software features are released.
Paul Wong, Avolites Managing Director, said, “Avolites has always recognised the need to offer excellent training on its software. However, this new platform is an accelerator for us, which means we can build new courses far quicker than in the past, and keep them updated as new features are released across our software range. “We expect to see thousands of people taking our courses each year, and with multiple languages available, our commitment is to accessibility and keeping the cost of learning to a minimum. There are now no barriers to anyone anywhere on the planet who wants to learn our software!”
