UK - Avolites ended much speculation surrounding their latest product release at PLASA London by presenting their new Quartz console in public for the first time, in front of a packed audience at their press launch. Going down the 'size matters' route, measuring only 42.5cm wide at a weight of just 8kg, the compact console is aimed at the touring market.
"Quartz is the newest addition to the Titan Mobile family, complete with on-board processing and a bright, vibrant 12.1" screen," says Avolites Sales Manager, Stephen Baird Smith. "Super compact, small enough for hand luggage, the Quartz is positioned as the ideal companion for lighting projects ranging from touring and festivals to clubs and one-offs. It is Avolites' smallest fully-featured console.
"Offering full compatibility with Multi user, the Quartz is also perfect for use as a back-up or extra programming surface, cutting your programming time. Quartz is ready to benefit from multi band Sound to Light Triggering functionality, offered in Titan version 9."
Sales Director Koy Neminathan adds: “Avolites recognises that lighting designers often need to travel with their own lighting control solution. Following on from the popularity of the Titan Mobile, we developed a complete solution that can go anywhere you can.
“How can we describe the Avolites Quartz? The small, perfectly formed object of desire.”
Also debuting at PLASA was the Avolites Tiger Touch Fader Wing, which allows users to expand their control surface with 30 playback faders all electronically labelled with an LCD screen, in a profile designed to complement the Tiger Touch II.
As well as the entire Titan range, Avolites showcased the Ai S2 media server, which offers all the benefits of Avolites' powerful hardware in a server drastically reduced in size and cost. The latest versions of Avolites’ Titan and Ai software were also presented for the first time, including the latest features to take your shows to the next level.
