West Cliff Theatre

To complement their Pearl 2000 desk the West Cliff Theatre at Clacton-on-Sea in Essex has recently installed two 48-way ART 2000 dimmer racks.
The theatre is owned and operated by a charitable trust company and apart from 5 paid staff, everyone else including F.O.H. crew and the technicians are all volunteers.
The equipment is kindly funded by the very active Friends of the West Cliff.
Production Manager, Alan King says that the LX operators were delighted with their new dimmers especially after having lived with some very old analogue equipment for so long.
"We have always been delighted with our Pearl and the excellent service provided by the staff at Avolites. It was natural therefore for us to select the Art dimmers. We have also, at long last, been able to single out the majority of our lighting circuits which, as a receiving house, means that we have much greater flexibility in lighting shows".

Thanks must go to all concerned and especially to Avolites' John Snelling for putting up with us during two days of in-house training.
The West Cliff is only a small house and does not have any "moving lights" but if anyone would like to visit and see the equipment in a "theatrical environment" please contact :-
Alan on (01255 474000) or e-mail to alanking@west-cliff-theatre-clacton.org.uk (the longest e-mail address in the world!)
