Avolites keep records of who owns what and you can check that the seller is the owner of a particular console by contacting the sales team at Avolites. Additionally you can check here to find out if the console has been reported missing.

If you are in the unfortunate position of having a console stolen then contact the sales team with the details and we will arrange for it to be listed here.
